I cannot believe that we are already a week into February. I’ve started planning out my 2023 year. I have a few events confirmed, and applications submitted for others I hope to be accepted for.
January was intended to be spent more on reviewing the last year, and planning out the year ahead. Some of that did happen, but I also had a few jobs on the workbench to keep me occupied. Bag locks and straps to repair, some chairs for minor repairs and a bit of conditioner to rejuvenate them, and several sets of bonnet and spare wheel straps for classic cars. Then add in a couple of commissions I can’t shout out about just yet.
Part of the planning was working on a new limited edition collection that I hope to be presenting at Craft Festival Cheltenham. More info about these items soon.
Next week I will be heading off to Aotearoa, the Land of the Long White Cloud (or New Zealand to most of you) to see my family. I will be returning on the 1st of March, and it will be all systems go for Craft Fair Cheltenham a week or so later.
My proposed schedule for the next few months looks a bit like this. Not all of the items are confirmed, but they are items I need to know about when planning my work schedule.
Confirmed dates for the next few months are:
- Craft Festival Cheltenham – 10-12 March
- Muswell Hill Creatives Make and Mend / Sample Sale – 18 March
- Muswell Hill Creatives Fair – 22 April
- Muswell Hill Creatives Fair – 23 September
- Muswell HIll Creatives Make and Mend – 15 October
- Muswell Hill Creatives Fair – 25 November
I have applied for, and hope that I will be accepted for the following North London events:
- Alexander Palace 150th Anniversary Makers Market – 27 May
- Fair in the Square N6 – 10 June
- Handmade in Highgate – 8 -10 December
I am actively looking for other craft makers fairs to attend throughout the year, if you know of one you think I should try, please let me know by emailing enquiries@stephrubbosaddlery.co.uk
