I wanted to get a bespoke bag made to put my travel chess board in and searched everywhere for someone that would be able to help me. I then came across Stephrubbosaddlery.co.uk and reached out to her.
 
From the beginning the communicatons were excellent and Steph clearly understood what I was looking to achieve. Feeling confident, we met at Steph’s studio and she took me through every aspect of the process so that I had the opportunity to chose exactly how the bag would look and it was amazing to be able to see all the options available. Nothing was to much trouble and Steph was clearly passionate about the work that she does.
 
Having selected what I wanted Steph gave a clear time-line for the project and we remained in close contact leading up to the final manufacturing phase. During this time Steph emailed me with images of the work being undertaken which was really kind and gave me a clear picture of how things were shaping up.
 
Once complete I was able to pick up the bag in person and even had the strap sized and finished on the spot to ensure that everything was just right.
 
The bag is of the highest quality and to say that it is beautiful is doing it no justice at all. I am using it every day and it is a joy to have and appreciate.
 
I could not recommend Steph enough to anyone that is looking to have something made out of leather or to ensure that the leather gift they are getting is one that will be treasured for years to come.
 
I will be going to her again in the future; that is certain.

I can’t recommend Steph Rubbo Saddlery more highly. Steph is a friendly, talented, knowledgeable, creative, authentic artisan. Hidden away in her lovely studio in Wood Green. Her work really stands out. Hand stitched leather masterpieces. Steph has just made me a beautiful new strap for my handbag from English horse rein leather. She also made me a one of a kind leather hand stitched belt with beautiful brass billet hooks. If you have time to pop in to her studio (by appointment). I would highly recommend it. Nothing was too much trouble. And I am delighted with these two pieces. Thank you Steph.

Steph did the most incredible job restoring my old camera case which was literally falling apart at the seams. She also replaced the leather on the original strap with an even better one with a shoulder grip with hand stitched burgundy suede lining to match the velvet inside the case. Her craftsmanship is world class. A true artisan with a fast turnaround and reasonably priced too!

I commissioned Steph to create a leather wallet for my most used woodworking chisels. (3mm, 6mm, 9mm, 12mm and 18mm).

Steph designed a wallet that had a thick leather outer and a soft green suede leather lining.

I’m really happy with the result and am now wondering what else I can get made.

I would highly recommend Steph Rubbo for any bespoke leather products.
