It’s been a while, so thought I would give an update on what I have planned for 2024.

I had a great two months catching up with family and friends in the Southern Hemisphere.  It was fabulous being able to spend time with lots of friends, enjoy some summery weather, and celebrate my parents 60th wedding anniversary.  It was a momentous occasion, the first time in 25 years the whole family was all together.

Now I am over the jet lag and back in the studio, eager to get on with projects and repairs.

The last two weeks I have responded to some really varied enquiries including:

  • making up a watch strap for a commemorative watch gifted to the recipient of the DSM in WW1
  • a RAF themed cheque book wallet, (yes cheque books are still a thing for some people)
  • mirror straps
  • stitching a 1 metre leather grip to a lamp
  • adjusting the waistband on a holster
  • laced rug rejuvenation
  • chess board case
  • chair repairs
  • customised dog collar to address sensitivity issues
  • furniture repairs
  • laptop case

Planned Events

Annual planning of events was one of my first tasks.  Applications for some craft fairs need to be completed many months in advance.  The good ones are always over subscribed, so it is vital to get the applications lodged in a timely manner.  It will be some time before I hear if I have been accepted for some of the events, but I am hoping to attend the following this year:

  • Craft Festival Cheltenham – 8 – 10 March
  • Muswell Hill Creatives Spring Fair – 25 April
  • Muswell Hill Creatives Summer Fair – 22 June
  • Handmade in Highgate 6 – 8 September
  • Muswell Hill Creatives Autumn Fair – 28 September
  • MADE London – 24 – 26 October
  • Muswell Hill Creatives Winter Fair – 23 November
  • MADE Brighton – 28 November. – 1 December

There may be a few smaller events as well, if you sign up to my newsletter you will be kept informed of where I be exhibiting.

So now it is back to the workbench where a couple of repairs projects await my attention.  Next week I will commence preparation for Craft Festival Cheltenham, and there will be a chance to win a pair of tickets.
