On 20 – 21 September I will be one of the studio holders participating in Open Studios held as part of Open House Weekend.

Most of the artists and makers in the building are throwing open their doors to give visitors an insight into their work, and offering the public a rare chance to visit the building when most of them are present.

During the day I will be happy to talk about bespoke commissions, repairs I have undertaken, my making processes, give some skills demonstrations and have some stock available to purchase.

The Artists

We will be opening up to public view the workspaces of film makers, painters, graphic designers, photographers, sculptors and stylists.

Explore the building and see how chairs, hats, saddles, logos, portraits and musical instruments are made and talk to the people who make them.

Join us throughout the weekend for demonstrations, workshops and talks.

Now a little more about the building.

What was once Haringey Council offices has been re-purposed into affordable studios in the heart of Wood Green. This building illustrates how redundant spaces can be transformed into a base for the creative industries, one of the UK’s highest value exports.

The Cumberland Road Studios Wood Green is host to 50 artists and makers currently occupying studios on the top two floors of this former office building.

The building will be open from noon until 6 pm on both days.
