The much loved Highgate Fair in the Square N6 is back on 10 June 2022.  It is such a popular event that getting a place is difficult.  I am excited to be invited back again this year.   Fingers crossed the weather is as kind as it was last year.

Passport wallet made from Out of Spec cricket ball leather, featuring decorative cricket ball stitching

Cricket Ball Wallet

New Range

This year I will have items in my new cricket ball range to view.  These are made to order, using some of the Duke cricket ball leather that was blamed for the poor performance of test cricket balls last summer.  After much investigation into why the balls were going out of shape, the leather makers decided that the remaining stock of 50 bends may be at fault. They offered it to leatherworkers on their mailing list.  I was lucky enough to get one.

Stock in hand

As always, I will have a selection of stunning Sedgwick’s English bridle leather bags in stock.  Some with, some without, colourful lining and stitching that  give that “pop”.  And there might just be a few of the remaining brightly coloured bags in brightly coloured Lamport leather that I showcased last year.

Design Your Own Bag

Or perhaps you would prefer to experience designing your own bag.  I am happy to take you through the options, and make it up for you.  You chose the style, leather, fittings, lining and thread and I make it up. The end result will be a design that is truly unique to you.

I will also have a selection of pre-made belts and other leather accessories for sale on the stall.

Do pop along and support local crafts people at this event described by Ives as “a village fair in the heart of London”.

It’s about having fun, community run, free, and local.  For more information, visit their website www.fairinthesquare.co.uk
