Whether you are travelling from across the country or live in Bovey Tracey, the Craft Festival is the highlight of the UK’s craft calendar.

The catalogue has been printed, the “I”s dotted and “t”s crossed, and setup is tomorrow.  If you listen carefully, you can no longer hear the gentle buzz of makers as they pack up and make their way to Devon.

I’m packed, and I will be on my way soon.  The weather should be warm and mainly dry.  But the large marquees means we are are not reliant on good weather.  It won’t just be 200 creative makers with fabulous craft items to sell.   There will also be food, and music alongside an extensive list of workshops and demonstrations to see. Oh and some of the very talented QEST Scholars to meet.

I will have a selection of bags, belts and other small accessories available for sale, and will be taking orders for bespoke bags and other accessories.  To assist with the process, I will have my leather samples to hand, and my latest bag shown below.

It’s an extra large messenger bag, made from offcuts and large enough for a 15inch laptop.  It features Sedgwick’s Burgundy bridle leather, Metropolitan’s Tan Lamport, Tan and Black Dakota from Marcus Gear.  It shows off different style features including a martingale style shoulder strap, top handle and stud hook closures.

I also have a new selection of the minute box bags in some lovely bright colours including red and blue.

If you are in the area I do recommend popping in.
